VIPER: the Chilean scale-up that wants to lead technological emergency management in Latin America

After landing in Argentina, Ecuador and Peru, the Chilean technology company seeks to confirm its arrival in Mexico, Colombia and Brazil, hand in hand with an expansion that combines innovation in artificial intelligence, field operations and strategic alliances. All of this has been possible thanks to an exhausting calendar where they have participated in collaboration exercises, networking events, exhibitions and fairs linked to the field of emergencies.

  • A Chilean technology company is demonstrating that local technology for the proper use of emergency notifications can successfully scale in some of the most demanding ecosystems in Latin America. These are VIPER and Viper Mass, which today are preparing to take their most ambitious leap: ratifying their expansion to Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil, here with their own brand identity VIPER Bras, thus consolidating their regional presence in technological emergency management.

With a platform that integrates artificial intelligence, robust georeferencing technology, multiple communication channels and a SaaS model in the cloud, VIPER has transformed the way firefighters, ambulances and security agencies coordinate their response to critical incidents. In Chile, more than 400 fire departments use its system, covering more than 75% of the country's population.

"Thanks to our technology, dispatches can be carried out in 40 seconds or less, which makes a crucial difference when every second counts. Our goal now is to evolve towards a 360° notification service, which integrates firefighters, police, ambulances and public safety on the same platform," explains Camilo Salazar, operations manager and co-founder of VIPER.

2024 marked the year of technological consolidation for the company. Thus, in 2025, VIPER began an extensive journey through different countries: a true tour that included visits to international markets where it already has clients and others in which it seeks to begin operating. The tour began in January with its participation in the USAR Quito and Manta (Ecuador) international exercises. Later, the company had the honor of being the only Chilean representative at the FDIC fair in Indianapolis, the most important event in the world in terms of response to fire emergencies. Added to this were presentations at Salud 365 (Peru), Compass Priority (Mexico), Emprelatam (Colombia), where they already have clients, and the International Congress of Vehicular Rescue and Trauma in Cosquín, Argentina, among others.

“Each instance has been key to validating our technology and understanding the particularities of local markets,” says Salazar. "Today we see that the needs of Mexico or Colombia are very similar to those of Chile, and that gives us an advantage to replicate our model quickly."

The impulse is also accompanied by institutional support from the public. In 2024, VIPER received support from CORFO for the development of dispatch systems based on artificial intelligence, an advance that promises to raise emergency response standards and optimize coordination between institutions.

  • The dream: a Latin American digital response network

For the remainder of this last quarter and all of 2026, the company plans to close more strategic alliances with public institutions, local governments and private companies, with the aim of building a 360° ecosystem that connects all critical services under a single interface. An ambitious vision that, as in any good case of Chilean innovation, began with a simple question: how to use technology to save more lives?

"The future of emergency management is in technology, and we want to lead that change in Latin America. Our goal is that any citizen in the region who faces an emergency has a quick, precise and coordinated response thanks to our platform," concludes Exequiel Gallardo, CEO of VIPER.
